Gala Night Carbon Neutral

FUTUREWORLD is planning a carbon neutral event for its annual gala dinner with a difference at Kembla Grange.

President Dr Judy Messer said Futureworld was able to make the event carbon neutral thanks to sponsorship by environmental group todae.

The evening, on May 22, would also feature presentation of the 2008 Eco-Innovation in Business Award, sponsored by Community Sector Banking.

This recognises a business that has shown eco-innovation leadership within the Illawarra business community.

The closing date for entries was recently extended to May 9.

Special guest, Climate Institute CEO John Connor, has recently attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Bali and Beyond: Towards a Low Carbon Society.
