FUTUREWORLD Eco-Technology Centre will present a special award to an Illawarra business during its annual gala dinner in May.

The 2008 Eco-Innovation in Business Award will recognise a business which has shown leadership in eco-innovation and in reducing its environmental footprint.

Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to apply for the award to be judged by a panel of experts including University of Wollongong's Energy Futures Network convener Associate Professor Paul Cooper, former

Keira and Wollongong MP Colin Markham and former Wollongong manufacturing cluster i3net chair Bob Coombes.

Futureworld president Dr Judy Messer said it was important to recognise businesses that were developing their eco-responsibility.

Entry forms can be downloaded at www.futureworld.org.au and entries close on April 30.
